Nebraska Auctioneers Association and Auxiliary Award 3 Scholarships

Three scholarships were awarded at the 2011 Nebraska Auctioneers Association convention in North Platte, Nebraska. Raising funds to provide scholarships for the members, their children or grandchildren is one of the missions of the Nebraska Auctioneers Auxiliary. Since 1986, the Auxiliary has given out 41 scholarships totaling $19,500. In 1996, the Nebraska Auctioneers Association began giving scholarships. To date, 16 scholarships for $13,500 have been given.

Our first winner of a $500 Scholarship presented on behalf of the Auxiliary is Tanya Woodward, daughter of Kim and Denise Woodward and Granddaughter to Alan Woodward. She is also the Grand Niece to Ronnie and Molly Woodward. Tanya will be attending Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa with an interest in elementary education.

Our second winner of a $500 Scholarship presented on behalf of the Auxiliary is Christina Woodward Svoboda, Daughter of Frank and Jill Woodward and granddaughter of Allan and Alma Woodward. Christina will be attending either Nebraska Wesleyan University or Drake University to secure an undergraduate degree in biology and pre-medicine.

Our third scholarship is on behalf of the Nebraska Auctioneers Association in the amount of $1,000. The Recipient is Leah Marshall, daughter of Jeff and Becky Marshall and Granddaughter to Eugene and Donna Marshall. Leah will be attending the University of Nebraska at Lincoln majoring in pre-law.
