Champions from the 2015 Auctioneers & Ringman Competition Announced

The Nebraska Auctioneers Association conducted its annual Auctioneer and Ringman Championship Contest at this year’s Nebraska State Fair in Grand Island, Nebraska on the Bristol Stage in the Ag Market Place, Monday, September 7 beginning at noon. Fifteen competed for this year’s title.

The Nebraska Auctioneers Association is proud to announce this year’s Champion is Kyle Layman from North Platte. As the State Champion, Kyle received a belt buckle, plaque and a cash prize. He will also represent Nebraska at the 2016 International Auctioneer Championship.

Finishing as the Reserve Champion was Adam Marshall from Elm Creek. Curtis Wetovick of Fullerton was Runner Up and Michaela Mapes from Omaha received the top Rookie Award.

In the Ringman Competition, Si Harbottle from Bryan, Texas finished in first place, taking home the Jon Moravec Memorial Ringman Award.

There was a great crowd on hand at the fair to participate in the annual contest. Attendees were entertained by an excellent group of contestants. The Association would like to thank everyone who made the trip to Grand Island to either compete or cheer on our contestants.
