The Association annually hosts an Auctioneer and Ringman Championship Competition, providing professionalism for the industry’s top auctioneers. This year’s Competition was held at the convention on May 30, 2014. Ringman Champion is, Dallas Hansen, Hansen Auction Service, LLC, Plainview, Nebraska. Auctioneer Champion is David Whitaker, Whitaker Auction Group, Ames, Iowa; Russ Puchalla, Heartland Auction Co., Roca, NE is Reserve Champion; Wayne Morris, Morris Auctions, Columbus is Runner Up and Ethan Schuette, Washington, KS is Rookie.
Auctions exemplify free market competition at its best and are held everyday throughout the world to obtain the true market value of items ranging from real estate to personal property. The Nebraska Auctioneers Association provides a service to the public through a Code of Ethics adhered to by its members.
