St. Jude’s Support

Auctioneers for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

Proof positive of that is the overwhelming support of NAA’s official charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. NAA adopted St. Jude as its official charity in 1995, and pledged to raise $1 million for the Memphis hospital.

NAA is thrilled that it has surpassed that amount for the worthy organization. More, the association has pledged an additional $1 million for the Memphis hospital.

NAA members and affiliates raise money for St. Jude in a variety of ways. Some of the nearly 6,000 members auction an item earmarked for St. Jude at their events, while others organize entire St. Jude-related functions, such as a large auction, a bake sale, a golf tournament or more.

NAA members seem to wholeheartedly agree that raising money for St. Jude is a more than worthy endeavor. They believe, as did St. Jude founder Danny Thomas, that “no child should die in the dawn of life.”

NAA members appreciate the fact that St. Jude patients are treated regardless of their ability to pay – covered for the young patients are things such as transportation and lodging in Memphis. NAA members also appreciate that St. Jude research is readily shared with the worldwide medical community.

More than 4,000 kids are seen at the hospital each year, most of whom are treated on a continuing outpatient basis. NAA is dedicated to raising the $2 million for the hospital to continue its successful research in the effort of eradicating catastrophic childhood diseases.

NAA members have been directly touched by the St. Jude organization. At least one was successfully treated for cancer, while others report that children and grandchildren were helped. NAA is committed to helping St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital succeed.
