Congratulations to Bruce McDowell, McDowell Auction Service, Trumbull, Nebraska for receiving the Auctioneer of the Year honor at the 66th Annual Nebraska Auctioneers Convention held in Norfolk, Nebraska at Divots Conference Center, May 31, 2014. Bruce received his award from last year’s recipient, Dean Lesoing at the annual banquet.
Bruce McDowell, graduated from the Missouri Auction School in 1994 and promptly joined the Nebraska Auctioneers Association that same year and he also joined the Toastmasters Club to make him better at his trade. He subsequently joined the National Auctioneers Association.
Bruce has been actively involved in the auction profession for nearly two decades, as a Board member and rising to President. While serving as our President he always handled any problems encountered and helped establish the Nebraska Foundation, of which he is now an officer.
Mr. McDowell always found time to spend with new auctioneers and stresses the importance of membership in the association.
Bruce McDowell is our State Auctioneer Champion of 1999 and Ringman Champion in 2011. He also represented our state in the National Auctioneers Championship Contest in 2002. He won the position of runner-up.
Bruce served on the Nebraska Auctioneers Association Board of Directors as a Board Member for a three-year term followed by holding the position of President in 2010.
